Our Story: Protect Your Skin, Don't Punish It
Hi, I'm Shandre , the founder of Zariyah Glow.
I've never had "easy" skin. For as long as I can remember, I've dealt with hyperpigmentation, Strawberry Skin (keratosis pilaris), raised freckles (DPN), melasma (mask of pregnancy) , uneven skin tone, and persistent dryness. Anyone that suffers from PCOS will know what I am talking about. If you live with any of these, you know it's not just about your skin. It's about the mornings you stand in front of the mirror deciding how much to cover, and the confidence you quietly lose along the way.
Like many people, I tried everything. Harsh scrubs, aggressive treatments, and products that promised overnight results and left my skin more irritated than before. I was told more than once that the answer was a stronger, more invasive fix, but the more I attacked my skin, the more it fought back.
Then I discovered Korean skincare, and it changed how I thought about all of it. K-beauty isn't about punishing your skin into submission. It's built on gentle cleansing, deep hydration, consistent care, and daily sun protection. For the first time, my skin calmed down. My dryness eased, my texture began to soften, and my tone started to look more even. It was the only approach that ever worked for all of my concerns, not just one at a time.
That's why I started Zariyah Glow.
I believe in protecting your skin, not putting it through harsh treatments and quick fixes. I believe healthy skin comes from patience, good ingredients, and a routine you can actually stick to. And I believe everyone in South Africa, deserves access to authentic Korean skincare without worrying about fakes or guessing what's real.
